How to customize the confirmation message shown after form submission?

After someone submits your Google Form, they see "Your response has been recorded." It doesn't thank them or say what happens next, so some write to ask, and some fill the form again. Google Forms lets you change that message in its Settings, but it's one message for everyone. With Formfacade, you set the message from the Submit button's settings, or send people to your own thank-you page instead.

Create your form, or open one you have in Formfacade, and follow the steps below.

How to customize the message?

  • On the page that opens, name your form, click Embed form and click Proceed. If you already have a form in Formfacade, open it instead.
  • Click on "Edit" tab
The tabs Edit, Preview, Share and Responses, with Edit marked
  • Go to the end of your form
  • Click on the ⚙️ icon on the last "After page" row, just above Submit

  • Click on the "On submit" tab

The default message

The default confirmation message shown after form submission is "Your response has been recorded."
An NPS Feedback form after submitting, with the message Your response has been recorded.
When users submit a form, they get a confirmation message. You can update this default message to make it more meaningful for your respondents. For example, when the user submits their feedback, you can add a thank you note and inform when they can expect an update from you.

Summary

If the default message does not tell people what happens next, they are left waiting. With Formfacade, you click on the ⚙️ icon on the last After page row, select On submit, select Show customized message for this button, enter your message and click on Save. Create your form and complete the steps above.
